Biography

Annette Grot is Account Manager for the National Bank of Canada’s T.V. and Motion Picture Group in the Vancouver office where she provides production financing and other financial services to film producers in the Western Region. Annette holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia and has over 10 years experience working with entertainment companies in a financial capacity.

Previously she was Vice-President, Finance and acting CFO of Knightscove Media Corp., a publicly traded company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, where she spearheaded the company’s business strategy in the acquisition of film and television assets. Ms. Grot’s industry experience also includes the position of Vice President at Imperial Capital Bank Entertainment Finance in Los Angeles, where she provided film and television project financing to a variety of producer clients. Prior to that she worked at Equicap Financial Corporation, a subsidary of Alliance Atlantis Communications, to provide interim production financing to independent Candian producers, serving as the group’s head from 2000 to 2003.

Earlier in New York, Annette was an Associate with Smith Barney where she worked on a number of corporate finance transactions including various private placements and equity offerings.
